Can Humans Stop Aging?
Humans have always been trying to find ways to avoid death. Thanks to breakthroughs in medicine and technology, we’ll be able to live up to 20% per cent longer over the next 100 years. But what if you could live forever? That's exactly what researchers are trying to achieve.

No matter how lucky or how healthy you’re, one thing is certain to kill you: Time, but science is already working on how to stop that.

Researchers have identified the Genetic-Switch that is responsible for Aging. A study in worms shows that turning this Genetic Switch-off makes the worm better at handling the wear and tear of old age (Older). So, while the key to immortality hasn't been found just yet, it does mean that, at the very least, people are going to be able to live longer, more productive lives. But even though if we are able to stop ageing, what will we do with the cells in our bodies that have already stopped dividing?

What About Cells?

Scientists are creating human organs using 3D printers loaded with living cells. This could one day make human organ donation a thing of the past. Humans are going to be able to replace their old and withered body parts with healthy ones. Theoretically, you could be able to order a healthy body whenever you want. But maybe this doesn't interest you, and you'd rather live in a virtual world.
Stop Ageing
Scientists are trying to upload a human mind into a Supercomputer. In this scenario, you’d become a part of the cloud and basically live on as a computer program forever. Theoretically, you’d then interact with the physical world through a digital or holographic avatar. This may sound like, it comes straight out of fantasy or science fiction to you right now but according to some scientists, they will be able to create completely Artificial bodies by 2025, Artificial brains by 2030, and can be able to transfer a person's consciousness into those brains and bodies by 2045.

Now, the tricky bit is surviving until the technology becomes widely or extensively available. Some personal lifestyle choices could help extend your life until then.

The Secret Of Longer Life

Researchers at Harvard University carried out a study to find the key to a longer life. The studies based on 34 years of data on behaviour leading to longer lives. They pin-pointed 5 lifestyle factors that can add more than a decade to your life.

Of all the factors, if you had to choose just one, according to the researchers, the most impactful would be to quit smoking. Additionally, causing Lung cancer, Cigarette-smoking is related to very serious health problems including Heart attacks, Mouth and Throat cancers, making it a major and a significant threat to longevity.

Of all the things you hear about how to live longer, one of the most crucial is Exercise. Aerobic activity, like running, is helpful for getting your blood pumping and your heart keep working. A recent study found that a 1-hour run can add seven hours to your life.

Healthy Food/Diet

Poor diets account for one in every 5 deaths. Studies show that the healthiest people eat clean and light. Researchers recommend a diet, rich in fruits and vegetables, Tree nuts with Healthy oils, Fish, and eating less Red meat while using Whole-grain Carbs and Olive oil for cooking.

If you’re eating properly and exercising enough maintaining a healthy weight should come pretty easy, and that's fantastic because this can add years to your life. According to a Harvard study, the healthiest people maintain a Body Mass Index (BMI) of less than 25.

No Or Less Drinking

Heavy drinking increases health risks, but drinking in medium, particularly Red-wine, could help you live longer. One study found that those who drank light- one glass a day for women and two for men- have a reduced risk of death from Cardiovascular disease.

All taken together, these habits can boost your health and put you on the path to a long life, or they will at least keep you around long enough to upload your consciousness to the internet where you will live forever!
